Mail Alarm app (“we” or “us” or “our”) respects the privacy of our users (“user” or “you”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the “Application”, “application”“App”“app”). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY, PLEASE DO NOT ACCESS THE APPLICATION.

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. Any changes to this policy will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date of this Privacy Policy. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates. You will be deemed to have been made aware of, will be subject to, and will be deemed to have accepted the changes in any revised Privacy Policy by your continued use of the Application after the date such revised Privacy Policy is posted.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the third-party online/mobile store from which you install the Application or make payments, including any in-app advertisements, which may also collect and use data about you. We are not responsible for any of the data collected by any such third party.

Compliance with Google API Services User Data Policy and Limited Use requirements.

This app complies with the Google Limited Use requirements as follows.
The Limited Use requirements have four elements:

1. Allowed Use: This app reads the labels from the user's email account. This is done to show the user a list of available labels, so that the user can select which label(s) needed to be monitored by the app. The app then only reads the sender of the emails ('From' field),  and ONLY from the email messages that are having a(the) specific label(s) and which are unread. This is done to provide a summary notification in the user interface so that user can see at once how many messages they needs to look into in the inbox and know who sent them. The app does not access any other messages, nor access any other fields of the messages that are being accessed.

2. Allowed Transfer: This app does NOT transfer restricted scope data (electronic messages - emails, labels etc..) out of the device, with in the device with other apps or share with anyone else including the developer(s).

3. Prohibited Advertising: This app does NOT use restricted scope data (emails, labels etc..) for advertising. Ads may be provided through Google AdMob service and the app does not share the restricted scope data with AdMob.

4. Prohibited Human Interaction: The developer(s) or any other person associated with the developer(s) of this app does not have access to the restricted scope data from the user (emails, labels etc...). We do NOT request user's consent to read messages manually (for example, for tech support or security purposes with in the app), and we do NOT aggregates and anonymizes the data manually.

COLLECTION OF YOUR INFORMATION

This app uses Google Firebase, Gmail API, Google AdMob and Google Analytics for its functions. Other than what is collected by Google services, we do not collect information about you.

Personal Data

No demographic and other personally identifiable information (such as your name and/or email address) are collected or handled by the app. Google Firebase handles the authentication on behalf of the Application, as such please be advised that the user credentials such as your email and password are NOT visible to the Application. In order to perform the intended functionality, the app needs access to the Labels from your email account and needs Read Only access to the email messages to read the From field of each message that is being monitored using the selected Labels. It does NOT read, store or transmit any other information about the messages or their content.

Derivative Data 

Derivative data is data generated from the use of a technological device, for example a browser or mobile phone. In other words, it is data derived from device usage. Derivative data is typically information such as a user's IP address, browser, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location.

The Application does not collect information about you or the device. Google Analytics may collect certain derivative data about you or about your device.

Financial Data

This Application does not collect any financial information.

Geo-Location Information

This Application does NOT request access or permission to and track location-based information from your mobile device, either continuously or while you are using the Application.

Mobile Device Access

We do NOT request access or permission to any features from your mobile device, including your mobile device’s bluetooth, calendar, camera, contacts, microphone, reminders, sensors, SMS messages, social media accounts, storage and other features.

USE OF YOUR INFORMATION

Google Analytics data may be used to generate performance matrices.

DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION

We do not collect perosnal information about you, and do not discoles them to any 3rd party.

Third-Party Advertisers

The application uses Google AdMob serviceto serve ads when you visit the Application. They may use information about your visits to the Application and other websites that are contained in web cookies or any other technology they may use in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. But the app itself does not share information about you, your emails etc with the thrid-party advertisers.

Affiliates

The app or the developer has no affiliates.

Business Partners

The app or the developer has no business partners.

Sale or Bankruptcy

If we reorganize or sell all or a portion of our assets, undergo a merger, or are acquired by another entity, you acknowledge that such transfers may occur and that the transferee may decline honor commitments we made in this Privacy Policy.

We are not responsible for the actions of third parties with whom you share personal or sensitive data, and we have no authority to manage or control third-party solicitations. If you no longer wish to receive correspondence, emails or other communications from third parties, you are responsible for contacting the third party directly.

TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

Cookies and Web Beacons

The Application does not use cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels, and other tracking technologies. When you access the Application, your personal information is not collected through the use of tracking technology. But Google AdMob and Google Analytics may use such technologies and are beyond the control of this Application.

Internet-Based Advertising

Google AdMob is used to serve ads on the Application and manage other interactive marketing initiatives. This third-party software may use cookies or similar tracking technology to help manage and optimize your online experience with us.

Web Analytics

We may also partner with selected third-party vendors such as Google Analytics, to allow tracking technologies and remarketing services on the Application through the use of first party cookies and third-party cookies, to, among other things, analyze and track users’ use of the Application and better understand online activity. By accessing the Application, you consent to the collection and use of your information by these third-party vendors. You are encouraged to review their privacy policy and contact them directly for responses to your questions. We do not transfer personal information to these third-party vendors. SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. Any information disclosed online is vulnerable to interception and misuse by unauthorized parties. Therefore, we cannot guarantee complete security if you provide personal information.

POLICY FOR CHILDREN

We do not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 13. If you become aware of any data we have collected from children under age 13, please contact us using the contact information provided below.

CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES 

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Policy. 

OPTIONS REGARDING YOUR INFORMATION

You do not to create an account with us and as such there is no need to terminate your account, to deactivate or delete your account and information. However, some usage information may be retained with Google Analytics to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Terms of Use and/or comply with legal requirements.

CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine The Light” law, permits who are California residents to request once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. But since this app does not collect any personal information nor transmit them, there is no personal information we can prvode.
